Project History
This wikia is dedicated to the up and coming indie JRPG game "Broeder: Secrets of Ohr."
Fondly given the name production title, 'Project Broeder,' it began work in December 2009 / January 2010 and has thus far been funded out of pocket. Based on a 2008 manuscript by EA Holland, the game was initially meant for non-commercial release--using default graphics of Enterbrain's RPG Maker VX game engine. About 7 hours of gameplay were successfully created before the decision was made to remap the game with better quality graphics, using custom tiles and sprites under a non-commercial license. When about 4 hours of gameplay were remapped, the game started to gather some attention and the decision was made to go commercial in 2012. This meant all new tiles, sprites, and graphics. Having exhausted pocket-funds, a Kickstarter was opened up in April 2014 with the hopes of funding the entire game for a 2016 release. Unfortunately, it was unable to gain the needed publicity; and lack of established gameplay made it hard to raise funds. The Kickstarter failed on May 18th, 2014, but production of the game is still continuing.
More news on the project is supposed to be release in Spring 2017.

To the right are some examples of battle system and in-game maps.
The battle system is a single-player SBS system using animated sprites and a spin command system. Attacks feature the portrait of the character commiting the action. Battle command menu is on the side to the right. There will be more on game dynamics as the project continues.
Maps are non-isometric parallax tiles. The following mockups use concept tiles commissoined by freelance artist Thomas Feichtmeir.
